Hardware for Dummies

We all use computers in our daily lifes, but do we really know this machine? Ok, you can say "I know how to use it", but when you go inside this "Digital World" you see that it has its own terms, own language. Let's have a look at those "buzz words" and get more information about this magical thing!

First "Hardware", must be something complicated. It is really but we can simplfy it as electrical, electromagnetical and mechanical all things about computers, the stuff that you can actually see and touch. Monitor, speakers, microphone, mouse, keyboard, system unit, they are all hardware.

System unit, is the key guy, it is the actual computer which you store all the information. System unit has floppy disk drive, CD or DVD drive, into which you can insert floppy disks and CDs. You put them in and out, but there's one thing which stays there everytime, your stable storage, hard disk. The other difference between removable disks and hard disk is their capacity. A hard disk can store as much information as tens of thousands of floppy disks. Removable ones are useful for sending copies of files or making up copies of important items.
